Ballynahinch P6 side enjoyed a run out at a packed Ravenhill on Friday night when they provided the halftime entertainment during the big Ulster v Connacht Magners League clash.
Mini-Rugby has become a halftime feature at Ravenhill in recent years as a reward for success in the Club Award Recognition Scheme. Achieving clubs have had the opportunity to field a P6 side and last season the Hinch P6 side managed to defeat Instonians. On Friday night in front of 12,000 Ulster fans this years P6 side took on Donaghadee and managed to secure another victory thanks to a John Dickson try in the 3rd minute.

The mini–rugby season at Ballymacarn Park has a few weeks to run with the Lindsay Ford Tournament to look forward to at Dromore on Saturday week. Lisburn Rugby Club are joining the Tournament this year with Dromore, Banbridge and the Hinch all-competing from P1 – Form 1 levels. All results will be calculated to determine the overall winner on what is sure to be another exciting inter-club competition for the young ones to enjoy.
This weekend will be the last opportunity to prepare for the big day at Dromore so a large turnout is expected at Training on Saturday morning starting at 10am. |
