To was with deep regret that the club were informed of the sudden passing of Alex Waugh in the early hours of the 25th January following a short illness. Alex was well known in local rugby circles and was associated mainly with Banbridge and Lurgan rugby clubs.

Alex was also associated with Ballynahinch when his company Milltown Meats became our principal club sponsor in the mid 90's. Since then he never missed a Hinch v Ban fixture and enjoyed the banter and friendship the two clubs have created over the years.

Alex will be sadly missed and the Club Council and members of Ballynahinch RFC pass on their sincere sympathy to the entire Waugh family circle.
