Sixes Progress In The Butler Shield
Gary McKelvey reports from Ballymacarn Park
Ballynahinch 5thXV 3pts - Inishowen XV 6pts

Hinch 6thXV hosted Malone 5thXV in the Butler Shield at Ballymacarn Park. Winning the toss the Hinch played uphill into the wind. The home pack despite giving height and weight took control early and rumbled up the park. Tries came from Raymie Jordan and Adrian Dodd. Malone tried hard to get back into the game but Hinch kept them at bay.

The second half saw the impressive Carl Larkin kick well and he controlled the game. Peter Shaw, Carl Larkin and Matthew Tate all weighed in with further tries while Malone scored one consolation. Final score

was 33 - 5. The Hinch pack were all impressive while out back Larkin stood out. There is also a great understanding coming between Centres Chris Abbott and Raymie Jordan, all backed up by the lively scrum half Andy Reid.

Team - W. Dodd, D. Dodd Jnr, D. Dodd, Tate, Dixon, A. Dodd, W. Jordan, Prentice, Reid, Larkin, Foster, Abbott, R. Jordan, Shaw, Magowan, McKay, Scott.
