6's Rack Up 106 Points In 2 Games
    Randlestown 3's 0pts Ballynahinch 6's 52pts
    Peter Shaw reports from Randalstown

A trip up the M2 to Randlestown was this weeks task for the 6’s. After the arrival of a lost Davy Martin the team were able to travel across Randlestown, down a muddy lane & across a field to their spare pitch.

As the previous week Hinch started off well with the pack gathering the ball & rumbling up the pitch to great success as it led to the 1st try of the game with Connor Patterson being the last man up with the ball. Next on the score sheet was Ben Wilson who sliced through the defence to score below the posts.
Attacking minded full back Matty Colgan was always working to get into the back line & attack the opposition.

After good work from the from Bulk, Fanta & the horse the ball was shipped out the back with Davy Martin beating his man to hit Shaw on the wing who instead of going for the corner opted to cut in & the ball was knocked on in the contact & Randlestown managed to clear their lines.

Great work at the lineout from Nappy allowed Jonny Orr to Hit Bishop on the outside, he slipped his man & got the pass away to Wilson who hit Shaw on the outside & this time the winger rounded his man to score near the posts, Only after the resulting score did he realise that 1 of the Randlestown players had tried to two foot tackle him as he went over. Aaron Samuels managed to scare the culprit to the referee by chasing him in a rage.

Great ground work by Mikey Evans & Fanta saw the forwards trundle up the pitch with great effect. The ball would eventually get moved to the backs with Elwood receiving the ball on the wing & with plenty of work to do he managed to cut through the defence for a great solo try.

After a great team talk from Bear at half time hinch kept their first half display going with the forwards again making their way up the pitch with Hughies leading from the front with Samuels & the rest of the pack in support they continued up to the Randlestown line where again Patterson would pop up with the ball for the score.

Now with the opposition not wanting much to do with the rampant hinch team there was a chance for Bishop to conjure up some magic with the backs giving his centres more space to run in & for Colgan to join the line at pace. Shaw was next on the score sheet with his 2nd try of the game that nearly wasn’t . With great play from Colgan hitting the line with pace he shipped the ball out to Shaw on the wing but with the ball going loose he managed to gather it again & twist & power his way over.

With the clock running down Elwood went on another fine run down his wing & cutting inside & beating various players but was just stopped short of the line with a last ditch tackle, Colgan was on hand to lift the ball & dive over the top of everyone to score.
The pack had the last say of the game with another fine drive with Nappy taking on the ball just short of the line, Patterson was there again to complete hishattrick.
Special mention to Morton, Evans and the rest of the pack who worked non stop all day.. Wilson converted 6 of the tries..
