The best Club Dinner for years, that was the general feeling about the traditional end of season dinner held in the Clubhouse.
Some 150 players, members and guests gathered for dinner at 8.00pm sharp. During the meal ballot envelopes were gathered the proceeds going to the IRFU Charitable Trust .
Past President Arthur Gibson led the speeches by proposing the toast to the IRFU (Ulster Branch) and our Guests. This was replied to by John Boyd President of the IRFU (Ulster Branch).
The Hinch President Alan Simms presented Ule Graham from the First Trust Bank with a framed Grand Slam photo-montage print, then the 1stXV players present led by their captain Stuart Lamb came forward to receive their copies of the montage.

Former Lansdowne, Leinster and Ireland play Mick Quinn was the first guest speaker and he put in a tremendous speech. This was followed by "Big O" Ollie McMahon from Newry who complete the entertainment in fine style.
The evening was brought to a close by Past President Alan Simms reciting a poem about the year and proposing a vote of thanks to the speakers. |
